How to find us

Located just outside Exeter looking towards Dartmoor National Park, we are a very manageable 2.25 hour train journey from London Paddington. The M5/A38 passes within ten minutes of our gates.

1. From The West and A30
Leave the A30 at Alphington Junction roundabout. Take the exit signposted "Ide & Dunchideok". Follow the country lane through the village of Ide and keep going for a couple of miles until you reach the right turn immediately after Lawrence Castle ("Haldon Belvedere") signposted to "Trusham & Ashton". Entrance to Embercombe is half a mile down on the right.

2. From The North A38
Just past the A38/A380 split at Kennford, at the top of Haldon Hill take the exit marked "Dunchideok and Exeter Race Course". Pay particular attention as you do not get much warning of the exit!! Follow this road through Haldon Forest and take the left signposted "Trusham & Ashton". Entrance to Embercombe is half a mile down on the right.

3. From the South A38
At the top of Haldon Hill (A38) Take the exit marked "Dunchideok and Exeter Race Course" immediately after the Petrol station. At the 'T' junction turn left and follow the road through Haldon Forest. Take the left signposted "Trusham & Ashton". Entrance to Embercombe is half a mile down on the right.
