Embercombe Experience Weekends Embercombe Experience Weekends are designed to welcome people and introduce them to our beautiful corner of Devon as participants in the life of our project. Embercombe poses a question to those of us who live and work here, but also to the diverse range of people who visit - "How do we live on the Earth?" During the Embercombe Experience Weekends you get to explore this question with us by joining in the many of the day-to-day activities that jostle for our time. We have fun, work in the gardens and orchard, cook together, make forays into our woodland to gather fuel, coppice, build sheds, talk, rest and remember what a joy it is to be in a community as we sit by an outside fire in the evening.

If you haven't been to Embercombe before and you'd like a way of putting your toe in the water, book on one of our Experience Weekends. These weekends are open to everyone - families, individuals and everyone in between.
Each weekend is guided by two of our team, so that your stay can be as enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding as possible. Some of our visitors choose to come again and again. Others go on to attend Friends volunteer weekends while others sign up for one of our courses. Almost all choose to return.
