Embercombe is a registered charity (number 1116793).  We work with groups and individuals from all over the world, each with wealth but not all possessing money.  Many more people would like to attend our programmes than can afford to do so.

To support the work we do with those who are disadvantaged, unemployed or homeless and to develop our charitable and educational activities, we rely on donations.  Several of our  programmes require full funding and sponsorship enables us to deliver this invaluable work.

We can now accept credit card payments over the phone during office hours on 01647 252983.  If you are a UK tax payer and can Gift Aid your money, please fill in a Gift Aid Form.

Building Futures to Live Into

Charitable support  from groups, organisatons, companies

Right across the UK today there are young people facing situations of appalling adversity. Amongst those most at risk are the young people leaving care. The sad and simple fact is that 1 in 5 of them are homeless within 2 years.

At Embercombe, we have the skills to work with damaged and vulnerable individuals and help them turn their lives around.

Not only do they learn essential life skills, but they are introduced to a wider context for life. They find out for themselves how contributing to a sustainable world, where the planet and people are valued, can make their own life more fulfilling.

Through an extended programme of activity, much of it based outdoors and working in nature, these young people discover their self esteem, they find their voice and learn that they can drop any pretence and be accepted for who they are. And at the end of their time with us, they find themselves part of a network of strong friendships which will support them in their life to come.

What is needed?

We need financial support to carry out our invaluable work with 18-25 year olds, and we need funds to provide a bursary for school children of all ages whose families are unable to afford the small cost of joining an educational visit to Embercombe with their class.

How you can help

Introduce Embercombe to your staff for Payroll Giving, host a Fundraising Event in aid of Embercombe, use our ‘people and organisation development’ services for leadership and team building, sponsor our work with a regular standing order or make a single donation and increase the value of your generosity through Gift Aid.
