My life at Embercombe feels like a drawing together of many different previous experiences. I have always loved the outdoors life. I love having a close relationship with the land and nature. The first 'job' I did was to work as a Countryside Ranger during work experience in secondary school. What I enjoyed about that was making physical things, breathing fresh air and driving a Land Rover. There is no Land Rover at Embercombe but, many aspects of my first work experience are here. To be outdoors is living for me.

Apart from all the nuts and bolts work I do here I have the great privilege of helping to steer the Embercombe mission on the core management team. This place is in a constant state of evolution and change and it is wonderful to be involved in this. Being here is also a chance for me to develop as a person and is a big reason for me wanting to be here.

My work background in a nutshell is, landscape gardener, outdoor educator, handyman, farm worker and milkman (got to drive the float). My idea of fun is time spent with friends (including best friend, Katie) around fires, swinging on rope swings, drinking home brew and sleeping under the stars.
