Awe and Wonder
A bespoke programme tailored to suit your classes needs
For key stage 1, 2 and 3
Our Awe and Wonder programme is focused around food and its journey from seed to table. A day might include the children collecting and cutting firewood, building a fire and harvesting vegetables that they have helped to grow. They then prepare a meal and we eat together.
We work with schools to develop bespoke programmes for their key stage one, two and three children which meet the teaching requirements of the individual school and the national curriculum.
A typical course will take place over a year and includes a visit of two days every season to give the children the opportunity to experience a full annual cycle in the woods, farm and garden.
We work closely with the school to ensure the content of the visit integrates into the curriculum and so that preparatory and follow up work can be carried out.
