Call for Events Volunteers
The next event at Embercombe will be the Westcountry Storytelling Festival
Subtly woven into all of Embercombe's events are experiences that help us to achieve our mission to inspire committed action for a truly sustainable world. If you would like to support us in this work, and to ensure your place helping out at larger events in the future, please read on for further details...
Volunteering at events
What events does Embercombe run?
Most of our events are one day but some are a full weekend festival. Most are on site, but some are collaborations off-site (normally local, with the exception of the London conference, which if successfull will tour to other UK cities)
Why does Embercombe run events?
As part of our mission to touch hearts, stimulate minds and inspire committed action for a truly sustainable world, we hold open days so that the local community and the general public can experience Embercombe and what we do. This helps to raise awareness locally, nationally and sometimes, globally. Many people who attend an Embercombe event return afterwards to volunteer or to participate on a programme and some are immediately inspired to action. These events are also fund-raisers for us, to a small degree, and they offer a chance to try your hand at new skills.
How can I volunteer at the Westcountry Storytelling Festival?
We are seeking committed, enthusiastic volunteers to steward at the 2012 festival. For details of the exchange and how to apply, read this newsletter.
We will also rely heavily on Embercombe's residential volunteers, so if you would like to join this community for a few weeks including Westcountry Storytelling Festival, see this page for more information and be sure to mention the festival when you apply.
